BIDDY BAXTER
(1933 - 2025)
Wonderful lady who I had the great pleasure of knowing whilst working for the BBC. Biddy was also an inspiration in my young adulthood whenever I watched her famous programme "BLUE PETER", that she edited for over 25 years, in the process making it one of the most iconic children's programmes ever!

BOB BLIZZARD
(1950 - 2022)
The late Bob Blizzard, former MP and Cabinet Minister, was for a few years chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Jazz Appreciation Society, which organises the Parliamentary Jazz Awards. Bob would often invite me along to some of its celebrations, although he first came to my attention when he was a guest contestant on the BBC "Have I Got News For You" programme.
